Messing with some gelled lights and long exposures.
Gridded/gelled alien bee as main light above camera
Gridded/gelled alien bee as back light behind me camera right
I believe this was a 4 second exposure. The lights fired with the camera and then I fired them again to capture the 2nd image.
Had a shoot for an album cover last night and this was the first test shot I took to check the lighting. I really like the way it came out, so I decided to get my edit on a bit.
Stoked to see what my man Aaron over at Forefathers Group does with the image I sent him!
Photo lit with an AlienBee800 in medium softbox above camera
Background lit with (2) AlienBee800’s in medium & large octaboxes; 1 left, 1 right.
The Wonder Years from February 2010
First time I saw the Wonder Years was incredible. Tiny little room, tons of kids, such a good time.

Love coming across old flickr accounts… This photo is like 4 years old (maybe 3?)
Motionless in White | Don’t Pray For Us tour
The Moon | Tallahassee, FL
This isn’t my typical image, but I thought I would try something new. The venue didn’t have a barricade for photographers and I am just too old and stubborn to be getting tackled by drunk people push pitting there way around, so I sat in the way back and took this 15 second exposure of Motionless in White.
Like I said, not my typical photo, but I like the distortion in it and the way it shows the movement of the crowd. Love it or hate it, yolo, ya know?
shooting a wedding advertisement at Hotel Duval in Tallahassee! #tallahassee #hotelduval
A few months ago, I took some photos of these pups as a Christmas gift from a mutual friend of ours. It turns out that the big dog ended up dying extremely unexpectedly before the owner’s got the photos, so they turned into kind of memorial photos.
The owner’s received the photos this morning and were extremely happy and thankful to have them which puts me on cloud 9.
Had a fun afternoon session with Mike and Augi the other day at a few parks in Tallahassee.
Family portrait stuff is fun sometimes.
One of the photos I took for Alchemy Spirits & Concoctions here in Tallahassee has surfaced, so I suppose I am allowed to post it on my ol’ internet blog.
Huge thanks to Lauren and Matt for helping out and modeling. This shoot was a ton of fun and came out incredible thanks to all of the help.
