1) If you are a photographer in the photo pit at a show do NOT have a fucking flash. Not only does it annoy the band, but it also fucks up other photographers shots. You do NOT NEED a flash, what you need is a basic knowledge of shutter speed and aperture. Good lord this pisses me off to no end and tonight was no exception.

and

2) To all the people in the crowd: Put your cell phones back in your pocket. I understand you want to take photos on your phone, but think about it: do they ever look good? NOPE. and video? really, do you ever watch those loud, muddy, crowded videos? Put the phone away and ENJOY THE SHOW! There are people like me up front who are there SPECIFICALLY to take photos for you guys to enjoy.

and before I catch any shit for number 2, it’s not something that annoys me like the flash does. It annoys me because you’re not getting the full feel of the show. You’re watching the show through your phone screen. Imagine if you were having a conversation with a friend of yours and they were looking at you through the camera on their phone… it’s the same thing for these band dudes… they are up there sweating, bleeding, and puking for your enjoyment and they do not deserve to see you watching their set through your phone.

23. whisper-something-fragile said: that’s why i take maybe 4-5 pictures at the beginning and then put my camera away so i can enjoy the rest of the show. as for the flash…my camera is kind of shitty when i dont use it. haha.
